A “generational” fight against Anthony Joshua could tempt Tyson Fury to come out of retirement, believes Frank Warren.

Tyson Fury announced his ‘retirement’ from boxing in January just days after it was revealed Wembley had been reserved for the ‘Gypsy King’ to fight Joshua in the summer.

It is not the first time Fury has claimed to be hanging up his gloves, having also ‘retired’ in April 2022 following his knockout win over Dillian Whyte before returning to fight Derek Chisora six months later.

Fury teased a comeback on Monday when he posted an Instagram story of him back in the gym alongside trainer SugarHill Steward.

Fury is coming off back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, who became undisputed heavyweight world champion in the first meeting between the pair.

“He’s with his family, enjoying life,” promoter Warren told Sky Sports.

“I haven’t spoken to him about returning to boxing and I wouldn’t. If he does decide to then I’ll support him, if he doesn’t then I’ll support that.

“He’s been a magnificent servant to boxing, two-time world champion, he’s very well off, set up for life, doesn’t need to box.

“But the thing with Tyson is he is a fighting man so you never know what will happen.”

Fury and Joshua have regularly been linked to an all-British heavyweight mega-fight, only for negotiations to repeatedly break down.

While both are in the latter years of their career, it remains one of the most coveted contests in world boxing and with the potential to shatter British records.

Joshua has not fought since his stunning knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois last September.

“That would tempt all of us, to get him to do it,” Warren said of a fight between Fury and Joshua.

“That’s the fight everybody wants to see, a generational fight.

“I know AJ wants it, Tyson at one stage did want it and we were close but it didn’t happen.

“You never know what can happen in boxing.

‘Clear weakness’ – Lennox Lewis and Tony Bellew disagree on Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois 2 prediction

Lennox Lewis is backing Daniel Dubois, while Tony Bellew is in Oleksandr Usyk’s corner with their rematch now confirmed.

Usyk and Dubois first met in 2023, which ended in controversy as the latter dropped his rival with a shot which was deemed an illegal low blow.

The Ukrainian went on to stop the Briton, but Dubois will get a shot at redemption in their sequel at Wembley Stadium on July 19.

Dubois has shown notable improvements since their first fight, which he showed in an impressive KO win over Anthony Joshua last September.

But Usyk is the man to beat and the favourite, having since beaten Tyson Fury twice.

And Bellew, who was stopped by Usyk in 2018, believes his former opponent will get the stoppage once again.

He said: “Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world. He’s probably the best heavyweight of our era, there is no disputing it anymore.

“He’s amazing at what he does. Dubois has been amazing. I’ve wrote him off on a number of occasions and he’s come back to prove me wrong.

“You’ve got to give him a shot and he’s in with a chance, but Usyk has already made him quit once so can he make him do it again?

Usyk is supremely confident of getting the job done in what is planned to be one of his two final fights.

‘The Cat’ is in the prime of his career and looks extremely formidable.

But Dubois too is fired up and wants to become the first man to knock out Usyk, carrying dynamite power in both hands.

And former undisputed heavyweight champion Lewis is one who is backing the 27-year-old to cause an upset this summer.

He disagreed with Bellew, predicting: “I’m thinking he’s ready. He’s been through the trials and tribulations.

“He’s the king slayer. He’s got the power. He’s been there before. He was just there, he knocked the guy down, so he knows what he needs to do.

Oleksandr Usyk

“He’s a certified world champion and I think he has big hopes on doing it. He’s going to do it.

“Obviously he’s seen a weakness in the first fight. I believe that there’s a weakness, you gotta attack it. Don’t give him no shortcuts.

Dubois will face the biggest challenge of his career, but the prize is huge.

The Briton could become just the second undisputed heavyweight champion after Usyk since Lewis picked up the crown in 1999.

Who is Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero? Meet Ryan Garcia’s long-time rival and next opponent

Ryan Garcia will make his long-awaited return to the ring to finally face Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero after years of on-again, off-again fight negotiations.

They will fight at Times Square this Friday, May 2, for the WBA welterweight world championship. Make no mistake, this is no straightforward comeback for Garcia. ‘Kingry’ has had a turbulent year – battling with his mental health and a suspension from the New York Athletic Commission

his fight represents an opportunity to get back on track in a fight against a familiar foe.

‘Rolly’ Romero brings knockout power and an unpredictable style—threats Garcia knows all too well, having previously shared the ring in a viral leaked sparring session in 2018.

But who is Romero and what experience does he bring into the fight? And why is he a threat to Garcia?

‘Rolly’ Romero’s boxing record

Romero has fought eighteen professional bouts across 84 rounds, curating sixteen wins, thirteen by knockout, and only two defeats at world title level to Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz and Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

Who has Roland Romero fought?

The Las Vegas native was a late comer to boxing, only entering a gym for the first time at 17, inspired by watching the 2012 Olympic Games and with boxing in his blood.

His father, Rolando Sr, was an amateur champion in Cuba who fled the country when he was 30 and now plays a key role in his son’s training camps, acting as an assistant coach.

With a limited amateur background of only 35 amateur fights, Romero knew he had to make noise to get noticed and when he entered the Mayweather Boxing Club.

His hard sparring style eventually caught the attention of Floyd Mayweather Jr, who signed the youngster in 2016.

Ismael Salas is currently in charge of Romero’s development after a split from Coach Bullet, aka Cromwell Gordon, at the beginning of 2024.

The Cuban coach has watched over world class fighters including Guillermo Rigondeaux, Felix Savon, and Jorge Linares.

‘Rolly’ made the perfect debut, knocking out David Courtney in the first round.

He would not taste defeat in his first fourteen fights, winning twelve of them by knockout, climbing the lightweight rankings and becoming the WBA interim champion.

Ryan Garcia vs Rolly Romero

His challenge for the WBA lightweight title was short lived when he came up against the pound-for-pound star, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, who knocked him out in the sixth round.

The American claimed the WBA (regular) super lightweight championship in 2023, controversially knocking out the experienced Ismael Barroso.

He shortly forfeited his title to ‘Pitbull’ Cruz in his first defence nearly a year later, getting knocked out in the eighth round.

After outpointing Manuel Jaimes last September, Romero has been sat on the sidelines waiting for his next big fight.

Garcia is arguably the biggest fight of Romero’s career so far, and the latter will be looking to make a big statement as the underdog on the world stage.

Ryan vs. Rolando: US boxing star Ryan Garcia’s ominous warning to rival’s dad ahead of ‘biggest fight of my life’

Revitalised Ryan Garcia has warned he is “ready to kill” when he returns to the ring with to face Rolando Romero on Friday night.

Taking place in New York’s Times Square, Garcia, Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez will contest in three separate bouts, while the following day Canelo Alvarez makes his Riyadh debut against William Scull. Both fight nights are exclusively on DAZN PPV.

With Garcia and Haney on the same card facing Romero and Jose Ramirez respectively, it is no secret that a rematch between the pair will be next if they manage to win in New York.

Garcia and Haney’s first fight was one full of bad blood and controversy with Garcia winning by majority decision.

This was then declared a no contest after Garcia tested positive for Ostarine the day before, and day of the fight.

A second fight between the two is one that fans are desperate to see, but Garcia and Haney need to hold their end of the bargain in order to make it a reality.

Speaking with Mike Coppinger about his return at a media conference on DAZN, 26-year-old Garcia said: “I’m coming back with a bang – I’m not here to play no games come Friday night.

“I can’t because I’ve got a huge fight coming up next so I’ve got to take him (Romero] as seriously as if I was fighting Devin, so I’m going to be prepared one hundred percent.

“I’m explosive and I’m hungry – I’m feeling the adrenaline now in fight week. I’m focused and ready to kill.”

Asked if he was targeting a knockout victory against Romero, Garcia replied: “Oh yeah, most definitely.

“I’m not coming for it but usually, when I throw, they go down so it’s going to be a great night.”

Garcia admitted he was already looking further ahead to the prospect of facing Haney in a rematch and warned he would take care of his rival’s father – Bill Haney – too.

Ryan Garcia vs Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero

“I cannot wait and I want to put a whooping on his dad too – that’s who I really want to put a whooping on,” added Garcia.

“But again I’m going to do the same thing just like I did last time.”

As he prepares to take on Romero in Times Square, Garcia admitted: “This has got to be the biggest fight of my career.

“It’s a historic night and it means everything, so this is the biggest fight of my life.”

Gervonta Davis is undefeated in 30 fights, but pound-for-pound superstar Terence Crawford believes he will be handed his first loss should he step in with one of two men.

‘Tank’ has scored 28 knockouts in his campaign so far, stopping the likes of Ryan Garcia, Frank Martin, Mario Barrios and Leo Santa Cruz. The southpaw from Baltimore is next out on March 1 against Lamont Roach Jr to defend his WBA Lightweight World Title.

Should he come through as expected, fans will once again call for Davis to take on a fellow champion in a unification bout. With Vasiliy Lomachenko out on the sidelines, his two options are Shakur Stevenson or Keyshawn Davis.

Speaking to FightHype, Crawford said that both men beat ‘Tank.’

“Whoever. I told Tank. Tank knows what’s up. He knows what he’s up against when he fights Shakur or Keyshawn. He wanna fight these guys that everybody in the world knows ain’t gonna give him no fight. They’re not mentally there. They might have a little skill here and there, but mentally-wise they’re not gonna be able to keep it up that whole fight. Them two guys right there [Shakur and Keyshawn] is gonna be the ones that give him his first L.”

Stevenson holds the WBC belt and will defend it later this month against Floyd Schofield. He has long called for the ‘Tank’ fight, however talks have broken down before getting anywhere.

Keyshawn Davis is the division’s newest champion, having defeated Ukrain’s Denys Berinchyk this weekend in New York to snatch the WBO strap.

The fourth round body-shot stoppage saw Keyshawn cement himself as one of the top dogs on the lightweight scene and he made quick time of calling out ‘Tank’ post-fight.

A major sticking point for either fight is that Gervonta says he will retire at the end of 2025, although he recently stated that he may just ‘take a break.’

Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has set his sights on facing a retired world champion in what he has described as a ‘dream fight’.

The 30-year-old from Baltimore, Maryland has enjoyed a successful career to date, remaining undefeated through all 30 of his contests since he made his debut back in 2013.

‘Tank’ has already won world titles across three weight classes, picking up victories against the likes of Leo Santa Cruz, Ryan Garcia and Yuriorkis Gamboa along the way. He currently holds the WBA lightweight title, which he is set to defend against Lamont Roach on March 1 in New York City.

Speaking on A Safe Place Podcast, Davis was asked about his ‘dream fight’, naming Floyd Mayweather Jr as the opponent he would line up for himself.

“Me vs. Floyd [Mayweather].”

Mayweather played a major role in the early stages of Davis’ career, although their relationship turned sour back in 2022. The pair decided to part ways and end their professional working relationship ended abruptly for a number of reasons.

Both ‘Tank’ and Mayweather have also been linked with a fight against eachother, although this is yet to materialise. ‘Money’ has not fought as a professional since 2017 when he defeated MMA legend Conor McGregor in his 50th and final contest.

The 47-year-old from Grand Rapids, Michigan has remained somewhat active within the sport since his bout against McGregor, having had a number of exhibition contests against the likes of Tenshin Nasukawa, Logan Paul and Aaron Chalmers. Mayweather has left the door open for a return to the sport in 2025, although an opponent and fight date for the boxing legend is yet to be officially announced.

Anthony Joshua was largely out-gunned by Daniel Dubois last September at Wembley Stadium, but managed to almost turn the tide towards the end.

Dubois, who had been elevated to IBF Champion, entered the ring an underdog. Despite that, he hurt ‘AJ’ significantly in the first round with a shot that would shape the entire contest.

Joshua showed incredible heart to stick around, being dropped a total of four times before the eventual fifth round ending. Before the final shot put him down and rendered him unable to make the referee’s count, he had his best success of the fight.

Speaking to the Ring Magazine, Dubois said the shot in question was like ‘a bomb going off.’

“Honestly, it was a quick thing. It was in the moment. I just composed myself. It was a hell of a shot. I’ve watched it back and I’ve heard the sound. It’s like a bomb going off. But yeah [I’ve got a good chin], I just composed myself, studied what I was doing and took the chance, took victory.”

There may be a rematch down the line, it is certainly a fight Joshua wants, however Dubois first defends his belt against Joseph Parker on February 22. Should he retain it, he will look to face unified champion Oleksandr Usyk to become undisputed.

Meanwhile, Joshua is in the market for an opponent after Tyson Fury announced his retirement and put paid to talks of a long-awaited clash.

Oleksandr Usyk has locked horns with the best fighters of his generation – but one stands out above the rest.

The Ukrainian technician is one of only three male two-weight undisputed champions in the four-belt era alongside Naoya Inoue and Terence Crawford.

He first unified all the titles at cruiserweight by defeating hard-hitting Russian Murat Gassiev in the final of the 2018 World Boxing Super Series tournament.

And then did the same at heavyweight just under six years later when he beat Tyson Fury in their all-action inaugural encounter.

En route to his epic two-fight series with Fury, which concluded in December when Usyk got his hand raised once again, the 38-year-old fought rugged veteran Derek Chisora in his second outing in the glamour division.

Usyk won the bout on points but was pushed all the way by Chisora, who never took a backward step for the full 12 rounds.

It is for this very reason that Usyk reserves the distinction of his toughest-ever opponent for ‘Del Boy’.

“I think it is Derek,” he told talkSPORT.com. “My friend Derek. Hey, Derek I am coming for you!

“Derek is a terrible guy, really tough. It’s just hard [fighting] Derek. He was just very difficult.”

Chisora defeated Otto Wallin earlier this month in his penultimate professional fight.

He is set to have his final bow in London later this year and the British boxing icon wants it to be a rematch with Usyk.

Chisora previously told talkSPORT in November that he was pushing for a crossover clash with Francis Ngannou in Africa.

However, his sights have now shifted to his former foe.

“I think that the Choo Choo train has passed now,” Chisora told talkSPORT.com of a potential showdown with Ngannou.

“The hype for me fighting him has died down. Put it this way, AJ [Anthony Joshua] fighting Francis Ngannou is the same as Canelo [Alvarez] fighting Jake Paul.

“Do you understand? So I think that the gravy train for Francis Ngannou in boxing and trying it doesn’t work…

“My last fight will be in Tottenham [Hotspur Stadium]…I’m pushing for Tottenham.

“I’m not going to say [Usyk]. I’m manifesting it. I’m asking God for the opportunity.

“I’ve said to Frank [Warren], you know, now Oleksandr Usyk has to phone his boss and ask his boss if he can fight me.

“But that’s the fight I want.”

After defeating Chisora, Usyk went on to beat Anthony Joshua in back-to-back bouts before laying waste to Daniel Dubois.

He is now two fights away from retirement and is waiting patiently for the winner of Dubois and Joseph Parker’s IBF title clash on February 22.

“We wait for a fight on February 22 between Daniel and Joseph,” he added.

“Whoever wins this fight between Daniel and Joseph, I have already made the fight.”

Over the years, Serena Williams was a force on the court and a fashion icon off it, leaving fans worldwide in awe!

Be it her catsuit outfit or her ballerina attire at the 2018 US Open, Williams proved why she is one of the best-dressed athletes in the world. Although she retired over two years ago, Williams hasn’t called time on her fashion statements.

Recently, the 23-time Grand Slam champion took to her official Instagram handle and shared a picture of her in an amazing pink outfit. In a stunning full-sleeved one-piece outfit, Williams looked bold and confident while posing for some pictures. Additionally, she coupled her dress with matching pink footwear, which was rather unique, having a square shape on the left and a circle on the right.

Further, Williams has been in much news of late with her appearance at the Super Bowl. Her crip-walk dance was a talking point of the evening as the Philadelphia Eagles took down the Kansas City Chiefs. With Williams posing in her pink dress, many fans compared her to Barbie, which isn’t quite the first time that she has been compared to Barbie.

Back in 2023, Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian were compared to the trending ‘Barbie’ tagline, which said, “She’s everything, he’s just Ken,” from the Barbie movie. Thus, when the American legend dropped her picture in this stunning pink outfit, fans reminisced about the Barbie movie and drew comparisons of Williams with it. A fan explored the possibility of Williams starring in the sequel of that part, and wrote, “Barbie, the sequel!”

Further, many fans drooled over Williams’ full-sleeved pink outfit, as they couldn’t take their eyes off it. One of the fans on Instagram called Williams ‘Barbie’ while praising her stunning looks. The comment read, “HEY BARBIE!  You look so beautiful,” along with some shining stars emojis. Whenever Williams drops her pictures in unique outfits, she becomes a talking point on social media. This case was no different as fans pointed out similarities between her and Barbie while comparing them. A die-hard fan of the American legend referred to her as a true Barbie and said, “Smashing glass ceilings looking stylish.”

Serena Williams has gone on to become one of the most decorated athletes in the sporting world, winning 23 Grand Slam titles in addition to a host of other big titles. While she is an icon on the court, some fans also feel that she is an icon of style statements. As a result, one fan wrote, “This Barbie’s job is ICON.” Lastly, fans reminisced about Margot Robbie’s performance as Barbie in the 2023 film and compared Williams to her. One fan commented, “A Barbie,” while drooling over Williams’ stunning pink dress.

Even after her retirement, Williams continues to win over her fans with stunning and unique outfits.

Rory McIlroy has shed light on the difficulties of balancing his professional golfing career with his personal life.

In a frank admission ahead of last year’s PGA Championship, he disclosed that he and his wife Erica Stoll were contemplating divorce.

However, they later reconciled and halted the proceedings. Now, almost a year after the initial shock, a sneak peek of Netflix’s ‘Full Swing’ indicates that McIlroy’s personal tribulations will be woven into the narrative.

In the series, he admits: “I’ve struggled with trying to be the best golfer, the best husband, the best dad.”

The sincere revelation from McIlroy, who first announced their marital troubles in May 2024, is featured in the documentary series. The trailer also captures journalists reacting to the breaking news and a moment where McIlroy, conscious of being filmed by Netflix, remarks over the phone: “The Netflix cameras are following me right now” before turning away.

A month after the divorce news surfaced, McIlroy confirmed that he and Stoll would stay together. He stated at the time: “There have been rumours about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate. Responding to each rumour is a fool’s game.

“Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realised that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning.”

Amidst the speculation, McIlroy suffered one of his most crushing losses. At the U.S. Open held at Pinehurst, Rory seemed poised for his fifth major title, leading by two shots with just five holes to go. However, a disappointing finish saw him bogey three of the last four holes, allowing Bryson DeChambeau to snatch the title away.

Following this setback, McIlroy took a break, stepping back to recharge before returning to compete in the Genesis Scottish Open in July and The Open Championship. This season started on a high note for the Northern Irishman as he clinched the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title earlier this month.

It marked his 27th PGA Tour title win and his first since May of the previous year. “To win at one of the cathedrals of golf is really, really cool. I knew today was going to be tough and exciting, there were so many guys around the lead,” McIlroy told CBS Sports after the event.

“With it being Pebble Beach, I had to put that to the back of my mind and just go out there and try to shoot a score, which I was able to. But yeah, really cool to have that walk up 18, sort of take it all in.”
