“I Speak The Truth” Gervonta Davis Makes His Feelings Perfectly Clear On Canelo vs Crawford
Gervonta Davis has shared his thoughts on the upcoming showdown between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and Terence Crawford
It was announced shortly after Canelo’s victory against William Scull that the pound-for-pound stars would lock horns on September 12 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Canelo defeated IBF champion Scull via unanimous decision to re-capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship, becoming the first fighter in boxing history to achieve this feat during the ‘four belt era’.
With arguably the biggest fight in boxing now official, ‘Tank’ Davis has weighed in on the highly anticipated super-middleweight battle, as he reveals in a media scrum that he believes ‘Bud’ is fighting Canelo ‘for the money’

“Crawford needs the money. I’m telling you … That’s why he says he don’t like me, cause I speak real s**t.”
Davis was then asked if he believes the significant weight difference will play a factor on fight night, as Crawford prepares to step up two whole weight classes
“I ain’t trying to convince y’all that he can beat Canelo! He’s a good fighter, but… Bro, I would say smaller fighters are always better than bigger fighters cause they know how to move and things like that.”
Should Crawford be victorious against Canelo, the 37-year-old switch-hitter from Omaha would become a five-division world champion and the first fighter in male boxing history to win the undisputed championship in three weight classes
