“I’m Number 2” Terence Crawford Names The All Time Best Fighter In The World
Terence Crawford has revealed who he believes to be the best fighter on the planet, The 37-year-old switch-hitter from Omaha, Nebraska is 41-fights into an accomplished professional career which began seventeen years ago
He made history when he defeated Errol Spence Jr in the summer of 2023 to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four belt era, stopping his rival in the ninth round of their monumental showdown in Las Vegas.
Aside from his victory over Spence, Crawford has also defeated the likes of Shawn Porter, Israil Madrimov, Kell Brook and Viktor Postol, as well as holding the undisputed championship at super-lightweight which he captured back in 2017.
Many consider him to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, however, speaking to The Ring Magazine, ‘Bud’ had his say on who he believes tops the list, backing Oleksandr Usyk as number one and Naoya Inoue behind the Ukrainian and himself.
“[I’m] the Ring number three? How y’all rating me number three? Who rating me at number three? I gotta go talk to them. [Oleksandr] Usyk number one, he better be number one. Over Usyk? I’m not over Usyk, but I’m over Inoue.”

Crawford could jump right to the top of that pound-for-pound ranking this September, should he be victorious over Mexican sensation and undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.
The modern greats will do battle on Saturday September 13 in Las Vegas, as ‘Bud’ bids to become the first fighter in the history of male boxing to win an undisputed championship in several weight divisions.
