Claressa Shields has gotten herself into a verbal spat with a fan on social media.

The undefeated ‘GWOAT’ of boxing is slated to square off against Brooklyn, New York’s Danielle Perkins on February 2nd at the Dort Financial Center in her hometown. However, her squabble with the fan is not about her next opponent.

Shields is coming off a second-round knockout victory over Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse in July last year. On top of that, her new movie ‘The Fire Inside’ starring Ryan Destiny as Shields hit the big screen on Christmas, and has become the talk of the town since. Regardless, what really started her spat with the fan has to do with some allegations the fan made against her.

Responding to a now-deleted tweet, a fan accused Claressa Shields of avoiding top-tier opponents such as Amanda Serrano, Katie Taylor, Alycia Baumgardner, and others. The fan further alleged that Shields is more skilled at sparking online feuds than following through with them. This seems to have ticked off the 29-year-old champion, who quickly hit back.

“I’ve never been challenged by Katie, Amanda, Cecilia. The rest of the girls [were] just talking! So shut up!!” Shields responded. It’s worth noting that at one point or the other Shields has been in an online spat with most of the top women boxers in the game today. Although numerous claims have been made by all parties involved, they have yet to culminate in an actual boxing match.

In some cases, the issue is genuine, say the weight difference, while in others the callouts and threats were empty promises to drum up some drama. Nevertheless, it’s not just women in boxing Shields has beef with and would like to fight.

Multi-weight champion Claressa Shields has set her sights on an unusual opponent—Jake Paul. Ahead of her February 2 heavyweight title bout against Danielle Perkins, Shields made it clear she’s ready to take on the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

“I know that I can whip Jake Paul’s [expletive], and people who are against that are just sexist and they don’t know boxing,” Shields told USA TODAY Sports. The undefeated Shields dismissed Paul’s power, saying, “You can have power, but you got to have the skills to land a punch.”

Paul, fresh off a decision win over Mike Tyson, failed to impress Shields. “Jake Paul showed that he has not gotten better with his skills,” she said. Shields’ frustration with Paul dates back to his support for Savannah Marshall, who Shields defeated in 2022. “[Expletive] that apology. Fight me,” she challenged.

Claressa Shields ‘stands among’ elite champions such as Oleksandr Usyk ahead of her bid to unify the heavyweight division, says promoter Dmitriy Salita.

The American star has already been crowned as a world champion in five weight divisions and can match Oleksandr Usyk’s achievements when she bids to become an undisputed world title holder at heavyweight next month.

Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in May last year to secure all the major belts in the top division and defended three of them in a rematch win over his British rival last month, while Shields battles Danielle Perkins for the WBC, IBF, WBA and WBO titles in Michigan on February 2.

“Boxing is an individual sport, making it incredibly challenging to compare the unique and remarkable accomplishments of these two great fighters,” Dmitriy Salita, who promotes Shields, told Sky Sports.

“What sets Claressa apart from everyone else in boxing – past or present – is her ground-breaking achievements as a pioneer in women’s sports.

“She has been the first to accomplish many feats, breaking barriers and opening doors for equality while remaining utterly dominant in the ring.”

Both Usyk and Shields previously excelled in the amateur ranks, with the Ukrainian claiming gold at the 2012 Olympic Games, and Shields also took gold in London and in Rio four years later.

The 29-year-old avenged the only loss on her record, a World amateur Championship loss to Savannah Marshall, with a unanimous decision win to become undisputed super-middleweight champion in front of a huge televised audience and packed out crowd at The O2.

“Claressa is undoubtedly an all-time great, not only because of her unparalleled list of achievements but also due to her unwavering belief and determination,” said Salita.

“Growing up as a young girl in Flint, Michigan, one of the most challenging environments in the United States, she had the resilience to rise above her circumstances and prove that neither her surroundings nor her gender could define her limits.

“For these reasons, Claressa is a generational talent and stands among the all-time greats in the world of sports.”

Shields can extend her 15-bout unbeaten record against Perkins, who is undefeated in five fights.

Lauren Price, the WBA welterweight champion, has admitted she would welcome a fight against Shields at the Principality Stadium in front of her home support in Wales.

“It’s hard to put anything past Olympic champions. She won the Olympics 2021,” Shields, who has fought one division above at super-welterweight, told Sky Sports last year.

“I feel like when you’ve been all over the world and you’ve boxed and you’ve won World championships, it’s kind of destined for you to be great in the pros. I wish her the best of luck.”

But Price must first overcome Natasha Jonas in their world title unification fight at Royal Albert Hall on March 7.

Thriving in a sport that places limitations on those who are perceived to be less fortunate requires more than just a natural athleticism. The new sports biopic, The Fire Inside, which chronicles the origin story of boxer Claressa “T-Rex” Shields, showcases how she embraced both her strengths and limitations to become an Olympic gold medal-winning athlete.

The Fire Inside marks the feature film directorial debut of Black Panther cinematographer, Rachel Morrison. The new drama was penned by Oscar-winning screenwriter, Barry Jenkins. The scribe served as a producer, while Morrison and Shields acted as executive producers, on the movie.

The Fire Inside tells the inspirational true story of Claressa Shields (played by Ryan Destiny in an Independent Spirit Award-nominated role). She has become considered by many to be the greatest female boxer of all time.

Claressa, a high school junior from Flint, Michigan, aided by her tough-love coach, Jason Crutchfield (portrayed by Brian Tyree Henry in a Gotham Award-nominated performance), pushes past all limitations to become the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing. But even at the pinnacle of success, Claressa has to reckon with the fact that not all dreams are created equal, and the real fight has only just begun.Claressa Shields

Amazon MGM Studios will distribute The Fire Inside in theaters on December 25, 2024. To help promote the biopic’s release, Morrison, Destiny, Henry and Shields generously took the time recently to talk about the feature and the boxer’s career during an press conference over Zoom.

Q: Rachel, The Fire Inside marks your directorial debut and what a story to start with. What was it about Claressa’s journey and her story that made you tap in and say, “This is the story that I want to tell”?

Rachel Morrison: I think it started with the fact that I didn’t know it. Claressa is such a badass force and an incredible athlete, and I follow sports. So for me to not know it, it felt like there was something wrong in the universe. I think Barry (Jenkins) had the same response, which s what inspired him to take on the project as well

I’d been reading for a long time and looking for something that felt meaningful and additive in the universe and that I could be additive to. There were things that I saw from my experiences being a female DP (Director of Photography) that I could put into it, as well. But really it’s just Claressa’s story deserved to be out there.

Q: Ryan, where were you in the world when The Fire Inside came to you? What was that audition process like? Why did you say, “I have to be a part of this film?”

Ryan Destiny: I think I was in L.A. I was working on another project at the time, and this one came in just like any other project does with your team to audition. So I just went in for it and I did my self-tape. I didn’t think too much of it because I just knew how competitive it would be. I knew how special the project was and how incredible everyone was that was behind it.Claressa Shields

So it was just a thing where I was like, let’s just see how this goes and let’s see what happens. So it was fairly normal, just like any other thing you do. Then the callbacks came and I was really shocked that that even happened itself. So it was really cool. But I was out in L.A. during that time in my life.

Q: Was this a story that you were familiar with, too, or was it a lot of new information for you?

Ryan Destiny: It was a lot of new information. So you know, I think for all of us, it was just unbelievable that we didn’t know much about the story. I think that that’s also for other people who need to really see this film and get familiar with, and understand, the history that she’s made and how iconic she is. So it was just interesting to learn so much more when I had to audition.

Two-division undisputed champion Claressa Shields, who is set to face Danielle Perkins on February 2 in pursuit of becoming undisputed in a third weight class, was moved to tears by the overwhelming support her movie ‘The Fire Inside’ is receiving upon release on Christmas Day. So, the undefeated ‘GOWAT’ of boxing has taken to social media to express her gratitude.

Shields, who proudly refers to herself as a three-division undisputed champion on her X bio, first watched the movie based on her life in January 2024. The film chronicles her inspiring journey from her upbringing in Flint, Michigan, to her rise as a two-time Olympic gold medalist and boxing icon.

The Flint, Michigan native has already declared the movie “very accurate,” having played a hands-off role in the making of the film—reports reveal she had just OK’d the script. Shields also seems to have had lengthy conversations with producer Barry Jenkins to ensure she was fine with sharing intricate and personal details of her life through the movie.

‘T-Rex’ secured gold in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, which made her the first American boxer, regardless of sex, to win gold in back-to-back Olympic Games. The movie’s main premise explores Shields’ road to London, concluding as she starts training for Rio. Regardless, with the movie ready to hit the theaters tonight—Shields preemptively thanked her fans.Claressa Shields

“I’m crying my eyes out,” she wrote on X. “All the support for ‘The Fire Inside’ is so touching! Changing so many hearts & lives! Everyone who got tickets thank you so much. It means the world!” Meanwhile, Claressa Shields has revealed what she wants the movie to do for her fans!

Claressa Shields on Ryan Destiny portraying her in the movie

“I want them to see everything wasn’t easy,” the undefeated boxer said in a conversation with ESPN. “It was hard mentally and physically and emotionally and it took a lot to overcome those things, but I wanted those things to be in there, because I’m not ashamed of them, and I think it’ll help somebody else.”

Claressa Shields had just watched “The Fire Inside” in early January 2024 for the first time, a film chronicling the 15-time world champion boxer’s journey from growing up in Flint, Michigan, to becoming a two-time Olympic gold medalist.

Shields relived the moments — good and bad — of her road to London in 2012 and the aftermath of that gold medal-winning performance.

The film, which releases in theaters on Christmas Day, is “very accurate,” according to Shields. She had a hands off role and only OK’d the script. She spoke plenty of times with producer Barry Jenkins to ensure she was fine with people learning about parts of her journey.

“I want them to see everything wasn’t easy,” Shields told ESPN. “It was hard mentally and physically and emotionally and it took a lot to overcome those things, but I wanted those things to be in there, because I’m not ashamed of them, and I think it’ll help somebody else.”

Shields won gold in 2012 and 2016 in Rio, becoming the first American boxer — male or female — to win gold in back-to-back Olympic Games. “The Fire Inside” primarily highlights her run to London, concluding as she begins training for Rio.

As Shields watches the film, she cries, laughs and clenches her fist, the fire still very much burning inside. But once the movie ends, only one thing remains — finally meeting Ryan Destiny, the actor whose portrayal of Shields made her proud.

The two had spoken over the phone throughout the filming process. Shields called Destiny when she found out the actor got the role. Shields peppered Destiny with questions including if she ever got in a fight or pushing war. Destiny, who didn’t play sports at all before the movie, told her no. Shields admitted she got worried.

“I was praying for her. I said, ‘Oh, Lord, please give her the strength ’cause I know it’s going to be hard,'” she said.

Destiny told ESPN that she scared Shields a little “because [Shields] thought that I was maybe a little too pretty, a little too prissy for the role.” But the gold medalist came around to Destiny playing the role. After watching the film, Shields loved the boxing scenes and felt it was accurate to her experience, director Rachel Morrison told ESPN.

But, Destiny didn’t know that.

She invited Shields to her birthday party in January, which coincided with Shields’ first watch the night before. Shields wished her a happy birthday before a “scared” Destiny asked the boxer: “You seen the movie?”

“And I said, ‘Yes.’ And she said, ‘Oh.’ She just looked at me,” Shields recalled. “I start screaming, and I picked her up, and I was hugging her, and she was crying, and I was crying. I was like, ‘I loved it.’ And she just was like, ‘Oh my God. I’ve been waiting to hear that for so long.'”

It was a moment that served as the climax of a journey delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Filming began in 2020 then was halted until 2022. Exteriors were filmed in Flint with most interiors in Toronto. From a fighting perspective, the pandemic meant Destiny got to train twice, proving to be a valuable experience.

Morrison said Destiny grew as an athlete in that extra time. It was hard to build muscle and keep weight on the first time around because Destiny did “so much more physical activity than she had ever done.”

But when filming came back the second time, they figured out what worked and what didn’t.

“It was just so different for me, very shocking to my body, and just so new,” Destiny said. “And of course, I had to diet. I had to gain some weight and muscle, which was also just completely new. Not the most fun thing, but it needed to happen.”

She worked with Robert Sale, the same boxing technical advisor for “Creed” and “Creed III.” Destiny revealed that she consulted with actor Michael B. Jordan and received support from him throughout the whole filming process. Sale treated her like a fighter, not an actor — essential for understanding the coach-athlete dynamic.

The Fire Inside' True Story. What Really To Happened To Claressa Shields

Morrison trained to box, too. She worked with Dicky Eklund Jr., the son of a character played by Christian Bale in the movie “The Fighter.”

By the time “The Fire Inside” began shooting, Morrison had two years under her belt. It allowed her to choreograph fighting scenes with the experience of training and sparring to understand what it’s like to actually be hit. She wanted to “mind the game” and feel the psychological experience of being up against the ropes or having to back up out of the corner.

“I’m really proud of our boxing scenes because I think the choreography is pretty dynamic,” Morrison said. “And it really … puts the audience in the ring in a way that even with so many boxing films out there, I don’t know that many of them have captured that level of, sort of, immersive experience.”

The film covers emotional parts of Shields’ journey.

Shields doesn’t receive the notoriety or money she expects after winning gold, expressing frustration that her life seems to stay the same. It pushes her to attempt to pawn her medal at a pawn shop, only for the owner to inform Shields’ mother. Shields’ mother shows up and has an emotional embrace with the boxer — their up-and-down relationship is chronicled too, something Destiny asked Shields about for a better understanding.

One of the more emotional moments is when Shields travels to China for the 2012 Olympic trials. However, her trainer, Jason Crutchfield — played by actor Brian Tyree Henry — is unable to join her overseas.

Shields feels lost, suffering her first professional defeat to Savannah Marshall as she struggles to understand the instructions of a coach she normally doesn’t work with. She takes it hard in the film — refusing to speak to Crutchfield when he calls her after and rewatching the fight multiple times, nitpicking what went wrong.

Speaking about it over a decade later, it still bothers the boxing star.

“I felt like I had let my family down, and I let Jason down and everybody down when I had lost, so when I see that in the movie, it still makes me cry,” Shields said. “And I see that … even though I’m tearing up now, but that’s the hard part for me to watch.”

A major reason why the film accurately portrays that moment is because of Morrison and Destiny’s experience with their respective boxing coaches.

Morrison got close to her coach, feeling a “little bit at a loss” when he would travel with other fighters. Destiny experienced the same. When her coach couldn’t be on set, she admitted not having the same confidence compared to if he was actually there.

“It was a very odd thing to go through, but it was great in hindsight for the film itself, and being able to make sure that I executed even those parts correctly,” Destiny said.

Stunt people weren’t used for any of the fight scenes. Destiny completed the scenes and the boxers involved were actual boxers. She recalled it being weird to film the fights. When training, she learned the fundamentals and how to actually fight.

Destiny had to relearn things for the camera such as making punches wider and figuring out distance so they weren’t actually connecting on punches. She was hit a few times because they got too close. But, Destiny was quick to joke: “I hit them too, but they can take it. They’re used to it.”

Morrison wanted to keep those scenes unique and distinct, especially since there are five fights within the first two-thirds of the movie. Lighting and location played a role in making them look different.

The first fight of the film is a “oner,” meaning they had to do it in one take.

“[That] was a chance to do something a little bit different because you don’t need to communicate anything other than the fact that she’s a badass,” Morrison said. “So you could just play …. and also … it’s almost a minute of fighting, and Ryan lands every single one of those punches.”

Shields called Destiny’s boxing “beautiful” and could tell she trained. She had no complaints about the fights, mentioning that the scenes looked real.

The film has been embraced by Shields and the Flint community — a sense of validation for Morrison.

The director admitted she didn’t know much of Shields’ story before working on the project, but it deserved to be out there. To her, that was the reason to make the movie. There was something fundamentally wrong with being unaware of the story, but “that’s sort of what the movie kind of touches on,” Morrison said.

Destiny didn’t know Shields’ story either, explaining it as a mixture of her being in the arts and not athletics. However, she is from Detroit and realized that other people from there also weren’t aware of Shields’ journey from Flint — a heartbreaking reality.

“It’s just insane that not enough people know about her and what she’s accomplished,” Destiny said. “She’s made history. And because of that, I just wanted to have the honor of being able to play someone where you can be a little vessel in telling the story itself.”

Her story will “finally be told the right way,” according to Shields. She hopes the movie inspires and encourages people, highlighting the fact that if she can make it, someone else can too.

“I want 5-year-olds to watch the film,” Shields said. “And then when they turn 20 and people ask them, who is your inspiration? They be like, you know what? I watched the movie ‘The Fire Inside’ with Claressa Shields, and that’s what helped me get to where I am. I want it to be that big of an impact.”

The WBC and WBO women’s heavyweight champion Claressa Shields has once again clarified her stance on the much-discussed feud with former boxing legend Laila Ali.

In a recent interview, Shields spoke candidly about the ongoing tension between the two boxing greats. Known for her dominance in women’s boxing, Shields used the platform to dismiss misconceptions and provide context to what many fans have labeled a generational clash. The animosity between Shields and Ali can be traced back to comments made by both fighters over the years. Let’s dive deeper into it.

Four years ago, in an interview on Sway’s Universe, the 46-year-old was asked about what she thinks of Claressa Shields. She replied, “First of all, she could never beat me. Let me get that real straight.” This enraged the 29-year-old, who decided to respond promptly.

In an interview, the two-time Olympic gold medalist hit out stating, “If you go on boxrec and look at my caliber of opponents and look at her caliber of opponents you’ll see why she’s 24-0 with maybe 23 knockouts. You’ll be able to see why. Because she fought against soccer moms, or probably strippers or something. And I fight real fighters.”

If you thought that was all, you are wrong. The feud further progressed when Laila Ali declared that the GWOAT was not talented enough to fight her. Shields, again, did not shy away from responding: “Let’s just keep it honest. Don’t say that I am not talented. I am the most talented female fighter there has been in the history of boxing.” So what is new to this saga?

Coming back to the present scenario, the Michigan native recently sat down for an interview with former world champion Andre Ward on his ALL THE SMOKE FIGHT podcast on YouTube. The conversation begins with Shields discussing her recent movie, The Fire Inside,” which portrays her life story. She expressed excitement about the film’s release and the promotional efforts she’s been involved in. Ward then reminded her of her ongoing feud with the daughter of Muhammad Ali, which is when she revealed the story as she saw it.

The two-division undisputed champion shared that it all began when fans and critics started comparing her with the undefeated Laila Ali after Shields had won her first title at super middleweight. All was good between the two until the comparisons soured the relationship. “Then people start making comparisons. And when I feel like they started making comparisons that’s when like the ‘text’ and the ‘good luck’ stuff from Laila stopped,” Shields revealed.

According to her, they stoked the fire, speculating about a potential exhibition match. Despite the buzz, no concrete plans materialized, leaving the feud simmering on social media and interviews. For Claressa Shields, the feud wasn’t a publicity stunt. She never spoke on the comparisons until Laila Ali sent out the first shot. “In an interview, they asked me, you know, ‘Claressa, so what does this say?’ I’m like, ‘This proves that I’m the best woman fighter in the world,’ you know. And I think that that may that may have rubbed her the wrong way,” contended Shields. She claimed that she has no ill feelings for Ali, adding, “I don’t feel like Laila Ali is a terrible fighter. She’s a good fighter. She did a lot for women’s boxing.”

However, for Shields, when it came time for her, she decided to stake the claim at being the best, which Laila Ali may have considered an affront to her own legacy. “But I came in the game with I’m the greatest…but I didn’t do that to be disrespectful to her. It was to make my mark and stamp my claim on what I really felt,” explained the unified heavyweight champion. She emphasized the importance of recognizing the evolution of women’s boxing. Shields’ journey, from her humble beginnings in Flint, Michigan, to becoming the first boxer, male or female, to hold all four major world titles in two weight divisions, stands as a testament to her grit and talent.

Boxer Claressa Shields, a multi-division champion and undefeated boxer, recently opened up about the impact her success has had on her family relationships.

Ahead of her February 2nd match against Danielle Perkins in Flint, Michigan, Shields appeared on the “Art of Ward” Podcast with Andre Ward. The conversation touched on her fame and wealth, which she has amassed through her successful career in the ring.

Shields explained that while she has provided for her family, her generosity led to expectations that strained her relationships.

“I bought every last one of my siblings a car,” she shared. “My mama a house, my mama two cars, my daddy a car. [I] helped [my dad] with his bills, help mama with her bills, help my sister take care of her three kids.”Claressa Shields

Despite her efforts, Shields noted that her sister Briana’s children live with her, and she regularly attends teacher conferences, yet the more she gave, the more resentment seemed to grow.

“It seemed like the more you do, the more that they don’t like you,” she said, fighting back tears. “You work so hard to make all this money and to have a good life for yourself and then the people who you wanna share it with, they just change on you.”

Reflecting on her isolation, she said, “People say it’s lonely at the top but damn, this lonely,” adding, “Family shouldn’t be like that.”

Wasn’t the Papoose drama the straw that broke this camel’s back?

It seems like the cheating scandal between Remy Ma and Papoose is a bit more complicated than we thought, although it has nothing to do with the actual relationship. For those unaware, the former accused the latter of cheating on her with boxer Claressa Shields, but Remy has some cheating allegations of her own with battle rapper Eazy The Block Captain. The big shocker is that Shields’ desire to box the New York femcee has nothing to do with these claims of infidelity. In a teaser for her upcoming interview with Jemele Hill, the world champion revealed her real problems with Remy and spoke on their Instagram spat.Claressa Shields

Furthermore, Claressa Shields had challenged any woman to beat her in a boxing match for $100,000, and while no one’s stepped forward, she clarified that she would fight Remy Ma for far less cash. “At this point the girl leaked my number,” the boxer expressed. “So at this point, you can give me a dollar and I’ll put my hand over her.” As such, it seems like this wouldn’t be a fight over Papoose, but rather a fight to make up for a perceived invasion of privacy.

All four heavyweight world titles – three of them vacant, one of which never existed before – will be on the line when Claressa Shields takes on Danielle Perkins on February 2.

That means Shields vs Perkins will be for the undisputed heavyweight championship, giving Shields an opportunity to become undisputed in a third weight class.

This may get a little confusing, so stick with us for a moment:

When Shields defeated Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse in July, she won the WBC heavyweight title and the vacant WBO light heavyweight belt.

The weight limit for Lepage-Joanisse was at 175 pounds. In women’s boxing, the WBC goes from super middleweight straight to heavyweight, with anything above 168 pounds being considered a heavyweight bout.Claressa Shields

Shields will defend her WBC heavyweight title against Perkins – and will be vying for the vacant IBF, WBA and WBO belts.

The IBF’s rankings list only two fighters at heavyweight: Perkins and Minellis Blanco. The world title is vacant.
The WBA has never had a heavyweight division before but will be creating one for this fight, according to Chris DeBlasio, a spokesman for Salita Promotions, which promotes Shields.

Until now, the highest weight class for the WBA was light heavyweight, which has seven fighters, including titleholder Che Kenneally.
The WBO has cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, though there is no one currently ranked at cruiserweight and only two people are rated at heavyweight: Lepage-Joanisse (who hasn’t fought above 200 pounds since 2017) and Blanco (whose entire career has been above 200 pounds).

Shields-Perkins will be held at a contractual catchweight, although the show’s promoters did not disclose what that weight limit will be.

Shields, 15-0 (3 KOs) is a two-time Olympic gold medalist who won world titles at 168lbs, moved down in weight to become the undisputed champion at 160 and 154, then returned to middleweight to regain a title she had vacated and become undisputed at 160 once again. She jumped from 160 to 175 for the Lepage-Joanisse bout.Claressa Shields

Perkins, 5-0 (2 KOs) won an amateur world championship in 2019. She had her first three professional fights between August 2020 and March 2021, weighing in between 195 and 198lbs for each. Perkins then spent three years out of the ring before returning earlier this year much lighter than before. She came in at 178 for a victory over Timea Nagy in March and at 175.5 for a July victory over Christianne Fahey.

Shields-Perkins will headline at the Dort Financial Center in Shields’ hometown of Flint, Michigan. The card will be broadcast on DAZN.

Whew, chile! Claressa Shields isn’t backing down from Remy Ma. The world champion boxer recently sat down with Jemele Hill to talk about where she stands in the drama between her, Rem, and Papoose. In case y’all forgot, Claressa and Rem have smoke with each other for a number of reasons, but things reached a new level when Remy leaked alleged text messages between Claressa and Pap and even claimed Claressa was Pap’s girlfriend.

Claressa Shields Drops Her Price To Fight Remy Ma In The Ring

Claressa Shields recently chopped it with Jemele Hill about the drama with Remy Ma and Papoose. When Hill straight-up asked how much it would take for Claressa to step in the ring with Remy, Claressa laughed but said she’d throw hands for “just $1 at this point.” Claressa Shields

“It don’t have nothing to do with whatever else. It’s just that part alone. That part there is where it’s like… I’m a businesswoman don’t leak my number. Why would you do that?” Claressa said.

Shields made it clear that she’s not really involved in the beef between Remy and Pap, but she knows drama sells. Still, she doubled down on the fact that her smoke with Rem is all about the rapper allegedly posting her number.

“So people like, ‘Oh, she wants to fight her over a dude. Stop it!’ That is so beneath me. It’s the [disrespect] of the leaking my number part. And that’s it!” Claressa continued.

Are Claressa & Papoose Really Dating?Claressa Shields

Remy Ma had social media gagging when she dropped texts between Papoose and Claressa Shields on Dec. 12. She also accused Pap of cheating with Claressa, but Pap didn’t hold back, firing back and saying she’s the one who stepped out during their marriage.

Social media went wild, with many questions about whether Remy’s claims were confirmed after a video of Pap and Claressa resurfaced days after the drama kicked off. As TSR reported earlier, the footage shows Claressa and Papoose backstage before her match.
