World champion who “I’m Leaning Towards Him” Amir Khan Predicts Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder

Anthony Joshua versus Deontay Wilder is a heavyweight showdown many would like to see, including Amir Khan.

Both of these men are now in the later stages of their careers. Joshua is a former two-time world champion who had plenty of huge nights on his way to becoming a three-belt unified ruler. He beat the likes of Wladimir Klitschko, Kubrat Pulev, Dillian Whyte, and although he lost to Andy Ruiz Jr, he avenged the loss six months later

It was soon to be undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk who dethroned him and then beat him again in a rematch across 2021 and 2022, and when Joshua tried to win the IBF belt back against Daniel Dubois last September, he was stopped inside five.

Anthony Joshua, Wilder, meanwhile has lost four of his last five fights – two against Tyson Fury, and one each against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang, the latter by stoppage.

Before that, he was a long-time WBC champion with an impressive number of knockouts, and he returns to the ring in June against Tyrrell Herndon in Kansas as he makes one more attempt at getting back to the top level.

“Leaning more towards Joshua, so I think Joshua on that one.”

Right now, a fight between these two seems a way off. It had been hoped that Joshua and Fury would be sharing the ring however ‘The Gypsy King’ retired after his two losses to Usyk, and Joshua is now about to undergo elbow surgery so will be out until later in the year.
